Tanarasa, an upscale restaurant in Ubud, set out to create a fine dining experience rooted in Balinese culture and sustainability. While the food and philosophy were strong, the brand had no visual identity or digital presence to match the care and craft behind the cuisine. The challenge was to build a brand that could capture both the soul of the place and its appeal to a global audience, while staying true to its local roots.
I began by immersing myself in Tanarasa’s philosophy — a blend of Balinese tradition, sustainability, and contemporary fine dining. From there, I crafted a brand identity that reflected the textures, tones, and spirit of Ubud, while remaining refined and minimal to speak to an international audience.
The digital experience was designed as an extension of the restaurant’s atmosphere: calm, intentional, and immersive. The website, photography, and brand elements all work together to invite guests into the philosophy behind the cuisine, making the care and artistry of the dining experience tangible long before they step inside.
